Mount Laurel, N.J. - The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) has appointed Kelly Mariotti as its new executive director effective Dec. 9, 2013. Mariotti will replace Michael Dwyer, CAE, who held this position since August 2004. Dwyer will become the president of JPMA where he will continue to be involved in board governance and strategic issues.
As the former owner of Green Frog Art, Mariotti was also a longtime board member of JPMA where she served as chairman from 2007-2008, and All Baby and Child Inc. (ABC). She also served as a board member of First Candle, chairman of the Policy Committee and vice-chair of the Gala Committee. Most recently, Mariotti served as ceo of First Candle and will remain in this position through Nov. 30, 2013.
Mariotti was an early contender for this JPMA position as a result of her visionary leadership style, diversified business skills, natural enthusiasm and firm belief in active engagement in the larger community, according to a statement by JPMA.
"I am excited and confident about Kelly's ability to lead this organization and the industry moving forward," said Andy Keimach, JPMA chairman. "This appointment follows a rigorous search process, and Kelly's experience as a manufacturer, JPMA board member and industry partner provides incredible value to the association and its members."
