IFDA to present "Take A Seat" gala and auction in mid May

New York - The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association is inviting members and friends of the industry to its "Take A Seat" event this month.
The gala and charity auction will take place May 16 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Lillian August Furnishings + Designs, located at 12 West 20th St., New York.

Designer Jaime Drake along with Karl Green, auctioneer and director of Furniture & Decorative Accessories Arts in Bonhams, NY, will serve as masters of ceremonies/hosts.

On auction will be one-of-a-kind, up-cycled chairs created by local designers and artisans. The chairs will be on display for preview in the Lillian August store windows and on the selling floor from May 8 to 21

All proceeds will benefit relief efforts for Japan Tsunami and Hurricane Sandy victims as well as local IFDA chapter professional development.

Tickets to attend the event are $20 per person.
