Restoration Hardware launches new type of pub

Retail Editor 3, September 2, 2011

San Francisco - Restoration Hardware announced the release of an entirely new publication, described by Chairman and co-cep Gary Friedman in the opening letter as the company's "largest-ever source book/magalog/catalog . . . At 616 pages we're not quite sure what to call it."
The book includes original editorial profiles of some of the designers and craftsmen behind the company's latest designs. In "The Master of Linen," photographer Mikkel Vang follows Libeco-Lagae ceo Raymond Libeert into the fields of Belgium where he upholds farm stewardship traditions established generations ago.
Rug designer and merchant Ben Soleimani is profiled in "Dreamweaver," and former British rugby player Timothy Oulton reveals how he reinvents antiques with in "The Reproductionist."
The resource guide, located in the back of the book with product grouped by category, includes, among other categories, 72 pages of rugs.
The Fall 2011 source book is available digitally and via the Restoration Hardware iPad app.
