NEW YORK — Louisville Bedding Company recently hired Shana Strong as national sales manager-fashion to focus on decorative pillows, chair and barstool pads, and dining room chair covers. For the first time at market, the company created an extensive two-zone region for decorative pillows and chair pads to show the extent of its design capabilities.
"We've always been in the dec pillow business, but have been stepping up efforts so that now we are better prepared to play in the fashion imports arena," added Strong.
The company recently rolled out about 200 new decorative pillow patterns, 100 chair pads, 100 barstool pads, four chair covers and a dozen fun new juvenile pillows.
She joined the company four months ago from Britannica, where she had been national sales manager for about six months based in New York . Prior to that, Strong was vice president of sales for Wal-Mart at Haywin Textile Products for about a year.
