Badgley Mischka heads into home

New York -- Town & Country Living will introduce the Badgley Mischka home collection at the New York Home Textiles Market. The introduction will mark the first foray into home for the famed fashion design team of Mark Badgley and James Mischka, who have extended their luxury evening wear brand into Sportswear collections, handbags, jewelry, sunglasses, swimwear, bridal, home, fragrance, intimates, watches, footwear, and belts.
“The market is ready for some glamour and the Badgley Mischka collection brings that look to home,” said David Beyda, chairman of Town & Country Living. “Our team worked closely with Mark and James to bring their distinctive look into home in a way that will appeal to the consumer.”
Mark Badgley and James Mischka, commented, "Home is something we have always wanted to do. The collection was inspired by all types of glamour with a touch of vintage. We are happy to finally be able to dress the homes of our customers."
The collection includes seven fashion bedding ensembles, inspired by their homes as well as their couture collections. The design direction is “sophisticated luxury.” A wide array of accessories includes decorative pillows, throws and coverlets with touches of glamour and sparkle.
The collection will launch with bedding, with coordinated bath ensembles and table linens to follow. Shipment to retail is expected for fall of 2008.
Town & Country is a supplier of licensed programs under Lauren, Ralph Lauren, Bill Blass, Rachael Ray and Kitchen Aid. Badgley Mischka is part of the Iconix Brand Group, which also owns the Cannon, Royal Velvet, Fieldcrest, Charisma and Joe Boxer brands, among others.
