TiA Winners Announced

Home Textiles Today is pleased to announce the winners of the seventh semi-annual Textiles Industry Award (TiA) competition — a salute to chosen design leaders who exhibited their products at the recent New York market —  sponsored by Trendease International.

More than 5,000 votes were cast by members of the home textiles industry — designers and product developers, manufacturers, distributors and retailers — during the online voting period to determine the following winners among all the producers of new, trend-right home textiles products.

Best Organic/Eco-Friendly Product
Down Lite — Tencel Eco Bed
Tencel Lyocell is made from Eucalyptus trees harvested using sustainable practices and produced in a ‘closed loop’ spinning process recovering and recycling 99.5% of solvent. Tencel is 100% biodegradable.

Most Innovative New Product
American Textile Co. — AllerEase bedding
Aller-Ease with DuPont Hybrid Membrane Technology is a woven cotton fabric that rivals vinyl films as an allergen particle barrier -- maintaining the soft, comfortable, breathable feel of cotton.

Best New Juvenile Product
WestPoint Home — Little Mismatched collection

Best Tonal Look
Kassatex — Hamptons bath towels

Best Color Story
Bliss Living — Ashley Citron bedding

Best Textural Look
DesignIdeas — BeachStone tabletop runner
