Shaw Rugs in branding foray

Dalton, GA — Looking to extend its presence beyond rugs into more coordinating product categories, Shaw Rugs is preparing the introduction of its new house brand. The launch is slated for late September during the New York Home Textiles Market, according to Jeff Meadows, division vp. The company recently added bath rugs and top-of-bed goods to its product line through the acquisition of Calhoun, GA-based Georgia Tufters.
The brand name and logo have not yet been determined, but they will better describe the company's moves to become a source of multiple home textiles categories, Meadows said.
