West Elm opens on Long Island

Brooklyn, NY - Home furnishings chain West Elm, part of the Williams-Sonoma portfolio of brands, this week opens its first location in Long Island at Huntington Station, N.Y.
The new store, which measures 9,948 square feet, is located at new store the Walt Whitman Shops, at 160 Walt Whitman Road, Huntington Station, New York.
Doors open Nov. 7 at 10 a.m., and to mark the event, West Elm has designed a tote bag that will be available to the first 300 customers who spend $50 or more. A gran opening sweepstakes will offer shoppers a chance to win a $2,000 gift card.
The nameplate operates 55 retail stores in the United States, Canada and Australia.
The Long Island shopping center is also where Williams-Sonoma Inc. will open its first PBTeen store on Long Island on Nov. 7, which will be part of the company's first through-access format linking PBTeen, Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids stores.
