Cowie and Penney Team to Plan Weddings

Celebrity wedding planner Colin Cowie's entertaining and bridal collection officially launches on Tuesday. The line, which is exclusive to JCPenney, will be temporarily showcased in a specially designed Manhattan showroom.

The showroom, located at 50 East 57th Street between Park and Madison, will feature dinnerware, glassware, table linens, decorative accessories, bridal gifts and wedding planning tools, and serve as the venue for a series of “instant weddings” and vow renewals styled by Cowie.

The showroom will remain open through Sept. 28. Operating hours will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Cowie merchandise and wedding planners will be available through JCPenney's stores, catalog and Internet site.

The registry offers:

  • Three means to register: in-store at self-service kiosks, online at www.jcpenney.com or by telephone at 1-800-JCP-GIFT.

  • A large collection of national brands.

  • Online registry management, where brides and grooms can add items, change profiles and e-mail the registry to friends and guests.

Once registered, couples receive:

  • JCPenney's Wedding Planner, a two-inch-thick binder of tools, checklists, and resources to personalize the wedding planning process.

  • Colin Cowie Seasonal Wedding Reports on the latest trends in food, fashion, flowers, invitations, vacations and other details.
