Homefires expands customer service team

ATLANTA — Accent and scatter rug manufacturer Homefires recently expanded its customer service team with two new employees to support increasing sales.
Gailyn Dinkens has been hired as customer service and support for the sales force and Corinne Kennedy has been assigned to handle data entry duties for the company, including all orders from the various Web sites.
Throughout 2004, Homefires has added several consumer Web sites to its retail customer list, including rugs-direct.com and rugsusa.com.
"The consumer appears to have lost any nervousness that they once may have had about ordering online; they have as much faith in an Internet purchase as they have had in mail-order purchases." said Reneé Ringstad, president.
"Wholesalers are responding to the fundamental changes brought about in retailing as people make more of their purchases online. Retailing has changed dramatically and Web sites are proving to be an attractive shopping option for consumers, along with traditional bricks and mortar stores," Ringstad added.
