ITMA Adds Members
Home & Textiles Today Staff -- Home Textiles Today, December 7, 2009
The International Textile Market Association (ITMA) has added seven new members to its roster, six of whom will show at Showtime here this week.
The exhibitors, primarily from off-shore, represent companies that are part of ITMA's attempt to bring off-shore textiles suppliers to Showtime.
Catherine Morsell, executive director of ITMA stated, "As American vendors and buyers attend fewer international shows every year, Showtime is gaining importance for international vendors who realize they must come to the United States if they want to get in front of American buyers."
The new members are: Atretis Fabrics, India; Holland & Sherry, New York/Chile; Keystone Weaving Mills, USA; Leather Apogee, Sanjarr (Image USA), Argentina; and Yakar Tekstil Sanayl Ve Ticaret Ltd., Turkey as well as Kalin Devee Fabrics, USA. They will exhibit at the June 2010 Showtime.
In addition to furniture manufacturers, Showtime, Morsell said, is focused on drawing department stores, fabric retailers, handbag and fashion accessory manufacturers, as well as suppliers of window coverings, linen rental, hospitality, interior design, jobbers, marine, top of bed and soft goods, among others.
