Ian Samberg of Famous Home Fashions dies

Montreal – Funeral services were held here on July 15 for Ian Samberg, brother and partner to Barry Samberg, the president of decorative bath products supplier Famous Home Fashions Inc. He passed away July 12 at the age of 44 after one-year battle with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Samberg was better known in the hardware industry running the parent company as president of Royal International Corp. “He was the inspirational leader of the family-run business," and left a strong foundation for the business to remain a global leader, the family said.

He is survived by his wife, Diane, two children, his parents, and his brother. In lieu of gifts and flowers, a contribution can be made to the Ian Samberg Memorial Fund, c/o The Jewish General Hospital Foundation; (514) 340-8251.
