ABC Carpet Adds PQ Collection

ABC Carpet & Home says it is setting a new standard in soft floor décor with the addition of PQ, or the Parentesiquadra Collection of laser-cut, embossed and hand-worked fine Italian leather and cowhide pieces in contemporary art-inspired designs.
"The PQ Collection demonstrates innovative design techniques with an outside the box approach," said Alex Kimia, senior evp.
The company said it has combined modern technology with traditional craftsmanship to develop "thought provoking, architectural creations." High-quality hides undergo a series of complex laser methods that emboss and cut the medium to produce intricate textural motifs. Then artisans hand-paint, foil and dye the hide to complete to work.
The application of this sophisticated laser technology is patented to Parentesiquadra, for which ABC named its collection. Established in 1998, the Parentesiquadra state-of-the-art design facility is located in Tuscany, Italy. ABC Carpet and Home is the exclusive U.S retailer of the PQ Rug Collection.
