Macy's Melds Star Power
September 17, 2007,
The Primetime Emmy Awards show on Sept. 16 featured the debut of the new Macy's advertising campaign with ads created by Oscar winners Barry Levinson, director, and Bob Richardson, cinematographer – not to mention a raft of celebrity designers whose product lines fill its stores.
Peter Sachse, president of Macy's corporate marketing, said the campaign's storytelling "puts iconic faces and personalities to the assorted collection of brands housed under our one big roof."
The Martha Stewart Collection component of the campaign, which will continue to air on various media throughout the fall, is part of the largest brand rollout in Macy's history.
