Lakewood, N.J. - Inc., parent company of and nearly 50 other ecommerce sites, is looking to broaden its offering of fabrics following an initial test.

The highest interest among the retailer's shoppers is for upholstery fabrics, although it is also testing apparel fabrics, said purchasing director Eli Blumenthal.

Suppliers need to have the ability to drop-ship within two to three days and must be able to provide photos of fabric swatches. Development of the copy describing the swatches is collaborative.

"Obviously, communication is key," Blumenthal told HTT. "Number one for us the reliability of the supplier."

Brands are important, although UnbeatableSale is also open to off brands. The company's range of products hits multiple price points, although not yet the upper tier of high end.
