Shaw keen on color with new collections for market

Dalton, Ga. - Shaw Living is evoking beautiful, serene settings with two of its new area rug collections - Vista and Santa Barbara.

Sister programs, these two collections are both machine-woven domestically of olefin and come in a range of transitional-type designs interpreted in two new palettes "of vibrant, global, fashion-forward colors and styles reflecting what is happening in the market place today for apparel and home fashions," noted Kim Barta, brand manager.

For a more textured feel, the new Caprice comes in a ribbed, loop, printed base that gives the look of a hand-made sisal but offers the durability of nylon. This grouping comes in artisan-inspired patterns, and uses an ombre space-dying technique for striation of color for a more dynamic design. Capice rugs are available in scatter through area rug sizes.

And finally, Melrose is being spotlighted in New York upon a strong response from retailers at its launch during the January Atlanta International Area Rug Market. Described by Shaw as having "impeccable design, explosive color, and great value," Melrose is machine woven of recyclable and soft nylon. It spans a vibrant and boldly colored assortment of 60 designs that employ an ombre dying technique for a handmade look. Colors include: pale linen, buttery gold, luminescent citron, regal jade, brilliant tangerine, dove gray, modern chestnut brown and deep indigo, among others.
