Lauren Spa Goes Organic
Home & Textiles Today Staff -- Home Textiles Today, March 26, 2007
Polo Ralph Lauren Home is going green later this year with the rollout of a luxury organic program, Lauren Spa.
Lauren Spa will debut in October at Lauren's top retail doors. The solid color program is Skal-certified, and the dyes used are vegetable.
Duvets, sheets and towels will be available in 11 colors. Duvets will retail at $200 queen and open stock sheets at $70 for a flat or fitted queen. In addition to the percale bedding, Lauren Spa will offer a matelasse night spread and shams in two colors.
Bath towels will retail at $39.99, slightly higher than Lauren's current top-of-the-line Avenue towel, which retails at $29.99. The bath program also includes a robe and tub mat.
The plastic packaging being used in Lauren Spa is recyclable. Inserts are made from recycled paper.
The brand recently debuted eight fashion bed collections, some with coordinating bath, that will ship from mid-June to October. Looks included:
Rug River: an Adirondacks-inspired menswear ensemble;
Skating Party: a feminine country look blending tartan plaids with white vintage elements;
Driver: an iconic Lauren look featuring over-scaled paisley mixed with twill and leather accents;
Odeon: a feminine glam floral with lurex touches;
Portrait of a Ride: a woven windowpane duvet set off with equestrian motif prints on accent details and sheets;
Inverness: soft, texture-driven duvet paired with delicate floral print sheets with crochet accents;
Prairie Plains: bohemian girl meets the Old West through a mixture of diamond patch quilting and floral embroideries; and
Rutherford Park: a woven duvet resembling a worn Persian rug matches with crisp white sheet and velvet toss pillows.
