High Point Hotels Cut Rates for April Market
February 23, 2009,
The High Point Market Authority has succeeded in persuading some local hotels to reduce their rates and minimum-stay restrictions for the spring market.
At least 20 of the hotels listed on the HPMA website have no minimum-stay requirements — and none requires more than a three-night minimum. Hotels taking part in a new hotel partner program are listed on the Market site at www.highpointmarket.org.
"We continue to look for ways to provide affordable accommodations for our Market guests, particularly in light of current economic conditions," said Brian Casey, president and ceo, HPMA.
The new rate cuts are offered in addition to the Authority's existing sub-block program, which offers savings to marketgoers for early bookings.
