Fort Lee, NJ — Area rug manufacturer and importer Couristan is donating to the Amercian Red Cross' National Disaster Relief Fund a large portion of the money originally designated for the company's 75th anniversary celebrations at the High Point, NC, market event and the company's Gala party in December in New York City.

In a letter addressed to Couristan's customers, George Couri, chairman, and Ronald Couri, president and ceo, said the company is cancelling its festivities at High Point and in New York City "in remembrance of those who have lost their lives and in support of the recovery and relief efforts."
