Wellman boosting price of polyester fiber

Fort Mill, S.C. -- Wellman, Inc. will increase the price of all polyester staple fiber by 3 cents/lb., effective with June 4 shipments. The company said the increase is necessary because of the resurgence in petrochemical-based raw material costs.
