United Feather & Down Widens Natural Lines

For the New York Home Fashions Market, introductions by United Feather & Down will focus on "balanced living" with new energy-saving products, eco-friendly down alternative fills for the luxury market, and additions to the Personal Comfort Pillow line.

"It's clear that now more than ever, consumers are interested in natural products that deliver environmental as well as health and wellness benefits," said Bob Hickman, United Feather & Down svp of sales and marketing. "Our bedding innovations have always catered to a natural lifestyle, as down is one of the most natural, sustainable and renewable filling materials available."

In addition to its down and feather fills, the company continues to focus on what's next to consumers' skin. Its trademarked SilverWeave line of sheets harness the power of pure silver fibers for natural protection from odor and bacteria, along with anti-static and thermodynamic properties. UF&D is expanding the line with SilverWeave woven blankets.

The SilverWeave collection works in concert with the UF&D SilverFill product line; both use permanently bonded X-STATIC pure silver fibers, so the protection will never wash out.
