Showtime announces schedule of events

High Point, N.C. - Semi-annual fabric fair Showtime will host several social and educational events for attendees during the Dec. 8-11 winter show here.
At 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, International Market Centers is hosting the International Pavilions at Showtime reception in the Suites at Market Square. The event welcomes new companies from China and Taiwan.
The Designer Plate Auction, a cocktail party and fundraiser for the ITMA Educational Foundation, will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 in the Suites at Market Square, space 1-928. The auction showcases dinner plates designed, painted and decorated by industry designers.
International Market Centers will sponsor "Happy Hour" each evening from 4-6 p.m. throughout the Suites at Market Square.
Showtime attendees will also have the opportunity to attend presentations by Home Textiles Today and sister publication Furniture/Today, as well as CeCe Design Group, Swarovski Elements and web4retail.
The first presentation, sponsored by Furniture/Today and Home Textiles Today, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9. Cindy Hodnett, upholstery/style editor with Furniture/Today, will be discussing U.S. market trends and color direction for 2013-2014.
"Opposites Attract - Fall/Winter 2014/15," presented by Jane Matteson of Swarovski Elements, will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 9.
A collective color trend overview featuring Italian Lab, spring 2015, will be presented by Cathy Valent of CeCe Design Group at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10. Italian Lab, from Milan Italy, is a premiere trend forecasting agency specializing in the forecasting of color, material, leather and styling for fashion and home interiors.
A social media seminar, "Pinterest for Business," will be presented by web4retail at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 and again at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10. Presenter Denise Keniston will discuss the role that Internet marketing and social media play in the retail process.
All presentations will take place on the top floor of the Suites at Market Square 1-200/300 area.
