PBteen goes live with Emily & Meritt collection

San Francisco - It its first collaboration of its kind for PBteen, the Williams-Sonoma Inc. brand has aligned forces with celebrity stylists and fashion designers Emily Current and Meritt Elliott for an exclusive, one-of-a-kind collection launching today on PBteen.com.

It will also hit all PBteen stores starting this Friday, and will be featured in the PBteen catalog on September 24.

The partnership also marks another first - Emily Current and Merritt Elliot's debut into the world of interiors and home furnishings.

Dubbed Emily & Meritt for PBteen, the program "perfectly merges fashion and interiors, youthfulness and sophistication," PBteen said. "It brings the stylists' West Coast sensibilities to the home arena through the lens of a classic Americana wonderland. This theme blends Emily & Meritt's love for denim with touches of silver, gold and vintage-inspired glamour."

The collection's dreamy feel also builds on fantastical elements such as butterflies, bunnies and unicorns-as well as a sense of whimsy.

There are 37 products across seven key categories, including bedding, furniture, lighting, wall décor, decorative accessories, jewelry storage and more.

"Emily & Meritt are true style authorities," said Sandra Stangl, president, Pottery Barn Brands. "We've had so much fun exploring a new aesthetic with them. They have inspired us to look at teen design and home furnishings with a new sense of energy. PBteen is proud of the collection results, a fantastic and sophisticated look for the brand that will surely delight our customers."

Added Current and Elliott: "We've always admired Pottery Barn as a great American brand, and were thrilled to collaborate with PBteen in our first foray into home. We loved applying our unique worldview - charming Americana - to this project, and equally appreciated PBteen's inspired process and celebration of personal style."

The Emily & Meritt for PBteen collection includes The Butterfly Duvet & Sham, with a beautiful watercolor butterfly, a symbol that inspired Emily & Meritt while creating the collection. The stylists crafted decorative pieces like the novel Bunny Alarm Clock and the Needlepoint Icon Pillows to express how fun tween and teen rooms should be.

Price points for Emily & Meritt for PBteen pieces ranges from $29 to $799 and can be found today at PBteen.com/Emily&Meritt.

The entrie assortment is now available online at PBteen.com, along with: "Emily & Meritt" interviews and style tips; and a video with original score written by Victoria Noyes and Andrea Widegren that can be viewed at www.pbteen.com/Emily&MerittVideo.

Shoppers can meet Emily & Meritt ans well as shop the collection at a special event Oct. 5 from noon to 2 p.m. at the PBteen South Coast Plaza, 3333 Bear Street, Costa Mesa, Calif. There will also be live music, refreshments and giveaways.
