Klein retirement prompts exec shuffle at Macy's

Cincinnati - Peter Sachse will become chief stores officer Feb. 13 when Ron Klein retires from the position. Klein has been with the company for 36 years and will stay on for two months to assist with the transition.
Sachse is currently chief marketing officer and chairman of macys.com. With his new duties, he will oversee the company's omnichannel strategy: stores, online and mobile. Already a member of Macy's executive committee, he continues to report to Terry Lundgren, chairman, president and ceo.
Chief merchandising officer Jeffrey Gennette will take on addition responsibility for marketing and macys.com. He is also a member of the executive committee and reports to Lundgren.
Jeff Kantor, president of merchandising for macys.com, will become chairman of the online effort as of Feb. 13. He will join the executive committee and report to Gennette.
Martine Reardon, executive vp for marketing, will be promoted to chief marketing officer as of Feb. 13. She will join the executive committee and report to Gennette.
