Bardwil, Tommy Bahama team up for casual-but-elegant tropical table linens

New York – Bardwil Linens is creating a line of elegant but casual table linens donning tropical themes – from floral patterns in tranquil palettes to brightly-colored island-inspired designs to simple natural fibers – for the upscale island lifestyle brand Tommy Bahama.
Under an exclusive licensing partnership, Bardwil Linens will manufacture and market a collection of table linens for the Tommy Bahama brand. This represents Bardwil’s fourth current licensed program after upscale tabletop brand Lenox, Lenox’s more casual sister brand Dansk, and the Vera brand based on the artwork of the late textiles designer Vera Neumann.
The launch is set for the New York Home Fashions Market, which is scheduled September 14 t 18. The collection will be unveiled at Bardwil’s showroom here at 1071 Sixth Ave.
"Creating a relaxed at home experience is essential to the Tommy Bahama lifestyle," said Doug Wood, president and ceo of the brand. “We are happy to partner with Bardwil to add another dimension to our home offering."
Other aspects of the Tommy Bahama Home collection include bedding, rugs and decorative pillows.
The new table linens collection will feature various groupings of products that each uses color, texture and design reflecting the Tommy Bahama brand. The first group features a sophisticated tropical floral translated into subdued colors, while another group is more casual in its vivid color scheme.
To round out the initial line, an offering of natural-fiber placemats will complement most table settings.
The first deliveries of product will arrive at retail in time for the spring 2010 season.

Tommy Bahama is a division of the Tommy Bahama Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oxford Industries Inc. The brand was established in August 1992, and operates corporate headquarters in New York and Seattle. The Tommy Bahama brand comprises a variety of products, including men’s and women’s sportswear, denim, swimwear, accessories and a complete home furnishings collection.
