Natura World expands manufacturing base

Cambridge, Ontario -- Natural and organic bedding and accessories manufacturer Natura World has relocated its headquarters and manufacturing facility to a new, larger site – more than 300% the size of its former property two miles away -- to accommodate recent growth and enhance operational efficiencies.
“Consumers are clearly excited about eco-bedding right now, a category that we have been passionate about for over 14 years,” said Ralph Rossdeutscher, president. “We anticipate the market for environmentally-friendly bedding will remain strong, and the main purpose for relocating was to better service our customers and handle future growth.”
The new state-of-the-art site measures 141,000 square feet, and Natura said it has already realized improvements in production flow and inventory control due to the move. It includes what Natura said is a “colorful, trendy” staff lounge outfitted with a billiard table and a den furnished with contemporary sofas intended to provide the company’s 90 employees “a cool space to enjoy breaks, have lunch, or hold brainstorms and working sessions.” New business titles are equally hip, Natura said, including “Head Honcho” and “Penny Pinching Procurer,” among others.
In other related news, Natura World is set to open its newly expanded 6,800-square-foot showroom at the World Market Center in Las Vegas in time for the upcoming July market. The showroom is located in space A-950 and will display Natura’s wide variety of organic and natural mattress lines, including latex, air beds, adjustable, juvenile and baby collections as well as new products being introduced during market.
“Natura has always focused on all areas of sleep, not just a mattress or a pillow,” said Rossdeutscher. “The new space allows us to showcase all of our products, from eco-friendly bedding to relaxation aids, and how they work together to create the ideal sleep environment.”
Over the first five months this year, through end of May, Natura World experienced what it described as “a healthy increase” in sales over the same period last year. It has seen continued strength from its pillow and bedding accessories in addition to its natural and organic mattress lines, Rossdeutscher said.
To make room for its product expansions, Natura World acquired the space adjacent to its original 2,800-square-foot showroom, where it has resided for the past three years. The company is bedecking the new and improved showroom with a waterfall, river rocks, greenery and nature sounds.
