Dalton, Ga. – Karastan Rugs longtime executive Patrick Carroll is celebrating his 25th anniversary working for the upscale area rug manufacturer.
Carroll is currently territory manager representing carpets and rugs in northern New Jersey and managing two major rug accounts -- Federated Direct and Bloomingdale’s in New York. He started his career in 1984 at Karastan covering G Fried Carpet and Design in Paramus, N.J. “And that relationship continues to this day,” the company said.
“If I had to characterize Pat Carroll in one word, it would be ‘professional,’” said Sam Levine, president of G Fried. “But Pat has many more great qualities. He’s a dealer’s rep, always looking to help out in any way he can.”
Karastan recently honored Carroll for his two-and-a-half decades serving the company, a division of Mohawk Industries.
“At Karastan, we pride ourselves on having the best sales force in the floor covering business, and Pat shows that every day with his great sales skills,” said Courtney Jones, regional vice president. “We have a long heritage of employees, like Pat, who have been with the company for that amount of time.”
Carroll offered his “secret” for staying with one outfit over a long period.
“The people at Karastan -- the mill and sales service -- they have made me successful,” he said. “They inspired me 25 years ago on my first trip to the mill in Eden, N.C., and they continue to inspire me each day with their unending dedication to making Karastan the best.”
