Fabric supplier Carpostan closes, seeks buyer

Lake View, S. C. — Carpostan Industries has become the latest domestic supplier of upholstery fabric to close its doors.
Carpostan, a specialist in textured jacquards and dobbies for residential upholstery applications, closed June 15 after 38 years in business.
Paul King, sales manager and director of design, said “Carpostan has enjoyed working with its customers and vendors and many friendships have been made over the years. To all we wish continued success.”
He said the owners will be working over the coming months in an effort to sell the company.
