Industry veteran Angelica Allen remembered

Lindenhurst, N.Y. –  Family and friends gathered last weekend to celebrate the life of Angelica Allen, who passed away last week at age 48 after battling cancer.

Allen spent most of her career at WestPoint Home, beginning at WestPoint Pepperell in 1979. She was part of the original sourcing team when WestPoint Stevens shifted from domestic manufacturing to global supply. She joined Robert Allen Design in 2008.

She spent her career in the home textiles business, where she followed in the footsteps of her father, industry veteran Matteo Badamo.

Allen is survived by husband Michael, son John Michael, mother Assunta, and brothers Dominic and John.
