Industry hits Florida to learn — and relax

There was plenty of sunshine as Context's 7th annual conference brought together retailers and manufacturers to consider the changes in the home textiles industry.
Themed "A Brand New Day," the conference explored the increasingly global structure of home textiles manufacturing, non-conventional approaches to home textiles retailing and the economic outlook for the home textiles industry in 2002.
Held at the Four Seasons Resort, the conference also provided opportunities for more relaxed interaction among attendees. For some, it was golf. For others, an airboat ride through the Everglades. For the truly stressed there was a trip to the spa and some time spent lounging by the pool.
A number of industry companies provided sponsorship for the conference, including Glenoit, Veratex, Christy, Natura, E&A Packaging Design, CHF, NFL, TerriSol, Perfect Fit, Croscill, Sleep Innovations and The Supima Association.
