Albert Sardelli has joined Braemore Fabrics, the upper end decorative fabrics division of P. Kaufmann, Inc.
Sardelli, who has a long career in home furnishings design, most recently was vice president of design for Brunschwig et Fils.
Discussing Sardelli's role at Braemore, Ron Kaufmann, CEO of P/ Kaufmann, Inc. remarked that “Albert will work with Emily Mann, director of woven design and Frank Detero, director of print design. We will have an expanded budget for Albert's products. And he will focus on outside designers as well as working with in-house design personnel.”
Kaufmann added, “the relationship between Emily and Frank and now Albert is a dynamic situation.” He noted that “especially today, design becomes even more important than ever as price plays so strong a factor.” Sardelli's title has bit yet been determined, he said.
Earlier, Sardelli was design director of Covington Fabrics and Waverly. He also was design director for the former Wamsutta home textiles mills.
He reports to Bob Appelbaum, president of Braemore.
