The Container Store goes public

Dallas - The Container Store began trading today on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol TCS and raised some $225 million in its initial public offering.
The 62-unit retailer said in its prospectus it believes is can open up to 300 stores in the U.S. between new and existing markets.
In the most recent fiscal year, which ended March, the company generated $706.8 million in revenue. The company's net loss widened to $130 million from a net loss of $30.7 million the previous year.
