Cambridge Pushes EcommerceCAMBRIDGE, ONTARIO - Cambridge Towel, which manufactures 80% of its product in Canada, is aggressively pushing south through ecommerce - and the United States, which now accounts for 40% of its ecommerce business.
     The company is live on and "most of the majors" in ecommerce, according to Jason Thompson, director of ecommerce and web marketing for the company.
     As far as business in general is concerned, Thompson said, "We're optimistic. Based on performance last year and 1Q this year, we're full on to the wall."
     The company plans to push its ecommerce initiative with a more purchaser friendly website for both wholesalers and consumers expected to launch in three months.
     In other news, Cambridge has inked a deal to produce a broad range of bathroom products under the Mandalay Bay and The Resortist brands, both Las Vegas-based hotel properties.
     "This partnership will bring to the U.S. and Canadian markets the style and experience of Mandalay Bay and The Resortist in products that bear their hallmark brands and legendary performance," said Hugh Thompson, president and coo of Cambridge Towel.
     The company is showed during market from a new, larger showroom at 295 Fifth Ave., Suite 713.
