Menomonee Falls, WI — Kohl's has finalized the purchase of a 60-acre site at San Bernardino International Airport and Trade Center, where it will build a 651,880-sq.-ft. distribution center.
The facility will be the first major construction at the center since 1994, when the former Norton Air Force base was turned over to the city, according to Dallas-based developer Hillwood.
Kohl's has said that it will begin making a concerted push into California, with its entry into the Los Angeles market slated for 2003. The San Bernardino DC will be expandable by 200,000-sq.-ft. and can employ up to 600 people.
