Safavieh to host events for license partners and designers at High Point

Oria from the Suzanne Kasler Collection for Safavieh Couture is hand-knotted of silk and wool in Nepal to recreate the cloth’s saturated hues and geometric shapes.

Port Washington, N.Y. – Safavieh is planning two special events at its showroom during the upcoming High Point Market when the upscale area rug company will unveil new collections with its license partners and designers Suzanne Kasler and David Easton.

Both Kasler and Easton have collaborated again with Safavieh to launch new rug designs for the Safavieh Couture line.

Safavieh’s High Point showroom is in suite 120 at Historic Market Square. High Point Market is scheduled from Oct. 17 to 21.

On Oct. 19 from noon to 1:30 p.m., Safavieh is hosting a celebration and signing for Kasler’s new book, “Suzanne Kasler Inspired Interiors,” which is being released in November by publisher Rizzoli. A buffet lunch will be served.

Then, on Oct. 20 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Safavieh is toasting Easton for the designer’s new African collection of sheared Peshawar rugs for Safavieh Couture. South African wines and hors d’ouevres will be served as Easton discusses the influence of his travels to Africa on the designs. He will also present a slide show featuring photos of the color and pattern references for the collection that were taken during his journeys.
