Sphinx adds West Coast regional manager

Dalton, GA — Sphinx, a division of Oriental Weavers, recently named Roger Stringer to the newly created post of West Coast regional manager. Newly appointed executive vp of sales and marketing Mike Riley made the announcement.

Stringer, who will assume his new post July 8, will be based in the San Francisco area and will oversee the expansion of the sales force and implement new marketing and sales strategies. His position offers the company an opportunity to better manage its growing business in that part of the country.

Stringer worked for Fort Lee, NJ-based Couristan for the past five years, serving most recently as vp of sales for the West Coast region and prior to that as regional manager. He has almost 15 years of experience in retail management, working in buying offices and operations management for major department stores including The Bon Marché.
