ESN, 1888 Mills jointly hire Fulton Allen Jr.

Chicago — Bath towel and kitchen textile manufacturer and importer ESN Inc., and bath towel manufacturer 1888 Mills have jointly hired industry veteran Fulton Allen Jr. to the newly created post of senior vp of merchandising for the two companies' recent manufacturing and importing joint venture.

The new alliance between ESN Inc., based here, and 1888 Mills, Griffin, GA, was forged over the past month as a means for both companies to work together to produce domestically and import from Asia new lines of bath towels and kitchen textiles.

Prior to joining ESN and 1888 Mills, Allen worked as executive vp of merchandising and sourcing for Charlotte, NC-based Davidson Cotton Company. Before that stint, he served for 14 years in various sales and marketing capacities for Kannnapolis, NC-based Fieldcrest-Cannon, now Pillowtex.

Allen is based out of an ESN regional office in Charlotte, NC.

In his new position, Allen will coordinate where and how product made within ESN's and 1888 Mills' alliance is manufactured and he will also coordinate all marketing for that product.
