It's curtains for Melange Home

NEW YORK -Using the experience it has gained from filling niches, Melange Home Fashions has decided to branch out and introduce an extensive line of shower curtains.
Originally previewed during February's mini market, Melange will unveil its full collection during the upcoming market.
"We like to try and do things that are unique," said Scott Shafranek, national sales manager. "We feel there is a lack of manufacturers making fashion shower curtains."
Four different shower curtain programs in more than 30 designs will make up the initial introductions: a 3-D, an embroidered sheer, an embroidered pieced nylon and an embroidered pieced cotton. Retail price points, Shafranek said, will start at $24.99 with the curtains hopefully getting placement at specialty and department stores. "But we also think the nylon embroidered can be geared toward mass merchants," he said.
Designs, he added, will run the gamut from nautical themes to florals to geometrics.
Going hand in hand with the shower curtains will soon be an embroidered towel program, as well as various accessories.
Depending on the success of the curtains, Melange may also introduce a coordinate bedding and bath accessory line.
"There is nothing out there that is unique or differentiates itself," said Shafranek. "We feel we are a company that will find unique, fashion-forward businesses, and this is one of them.
"If you wait too long, you open up the door for too many other people to come along and steal the business."
