Retail Editor 4, September 14, 2011

Atlanta - The AmericasMart Center here has named Robert Schuler as its new officer in charge for all housing services across all markets and the company-managed Lightfair International trade show.

Schuler joined the AmericasMart in June 2010 following his prior post as vice president of sales and director of the sales and services division at the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB).

In his promotion, his responsibilities are expanded to encompass the provision of housing services to AmericasMart market attendees, who annually occupy as many as 247,000 Atlanta hotel room-nights, and to attendees of Lightfair International, which is staged annually as the world's largest architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference in alternating east- and west-coast venues.
