Dow Latex again raises price on carpet material

MIDLAND, Mich. – Faced with the same increased costs for raw materials, energy and transportation as everyone else, Dow Chemical division Dow Latex announced today it, too, would be raising its prices.

Effective January 30th, the company will charge for all of its latex products sold into the carpet industry $0.03 more per pound (dry).

This represents Dow’s fourth latex product price hike since spring 2004. The most recent increase occurred October 15. Prior to that, the company raised prices April 2005 and in May 2004.
