Data for Numbers 2004 is based on information provided directly by suppliers in these categories. Home Textiles Today augments the information with data from the U.S. Department of Commerce; Claritas, a market research firm headquartered in San Diego; and import data from the U.S. Customs Service, U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. International Trade Commission.

The reports, which originally appeared as independent stories from January through May 2004, were compiled by Janice Chamberlain, senior research specialist; Kay Anderson, director of market research; Cecile B.
