Colonial Mills produces ‘going green’ catalog   

Pawtucket, R.I. – Braided texture area rug and accessory domestic manufacturer cmi (Colonial Mills Inc.) has released its new, condensed, 40-page product catalog and a 16-page wholesale price list for 2009.

Designed to emphasize cmi’s “going green” initiatives, this new and more compact catalog features a green cover and inside features its 34 USA-made collections, including the new “renaissance” grouping of 100% Sunbrella-branded fiber rugs for outdoor use.

Three of cmi’s other new braided-texture rug collections -- ridgevale, shear natural and valencia -- are also included.

Inside, product images and room scenes make up the photography included in the catalog.

“With our company-wide emphasis on ‘going green’ wherever possible, we’ve been making a concerted effort to drive customers to our website which has allowed us to reduced the number of pages in our catalog by more than 20% and print smaller quantities,” said Donald Scarlata, president and ceo. “Although it’s a smaller catalog, the styles and colors of our collections continue to make a big impact and are sure to excite our dealers’ customers.”

The top of each interior page highlights a key feature of the rug collection shown and the bottom of each page includes a link to easy-to-use order forms.

The catalog also calls attention to cmi’s soft decorative accessories, custom-design services and retail display offerings.

Additionally, a specially created “Made in the USA” logo is prominently placed on the inside of the front and back covers and is available to customers to download on the company’s website,
