CHF signs Peanuts license

New York -- CHF has licensed Peanuts for bed and bath, planning to preview a portfolio of product designs during next week's New York Home Fashions Market.

"Peanuts is a perfect, classic license for updated, modern nostalgia," said Joan Karron, evp. "It's a humorous, comforting and cozy brand suitable this age."

CHF will develop iterations for various retail segments, she added, noting the product appeals to young adults (it had a run at Urban Outfitters in apparel) as well as parents, grandparents and adults buying for children.

Karron said CHF will work with key accounts to develop distinct iterations of the brand to address varying consumer and retail segments.

CHF chairman and ceo Frank Foley said: "Peanuts has so much art and so much product history across so many years, there's is something for every channel."

CHF is prepared to begin shipping in August, he added.
