Midwest-CBK splits into two brands
December 17, 2013-- Home Textiles Today,
Cannon Falls, Minn. - Midwest-CBK, producer of holiday, seasonal and home décor designs, will now serve customers under two separate and distinct brands - CBK home and outdoor décor and Midwest Seasons holiday and seasonal.
"Two great heritage brands are now two great new brands," said Dick Duff, Midwest-CBK general manager. "The Midwest Seasons and CBK teams have worked hard to develop two distinct entities that better serve our customers' needs, and the designs they have created for these collections are more inspired than ever before," Duff said, adding that the distinction of the two brands will only strengthen each division's long-standing and trusted reputations.
CBK - Inspired Home
The "new" but 35-year-old CBK brand is focused on handicraft. The 2014 collection showcases bold, bright colors, rich textures, natural and recycled materials, and a host of prints and patterns designed by three licensed artists -- Amy Rice, Casey Stippick and Anna Griffin.
The launch includes 1,000 items allocated to seven distinct lifestyle collections and four home accent categories. The categories are indoor and outdoor occasional furniture; home accessories such as lamps and chandeliers, clocks, and mirrors; tabletop, including hand-painted dinnerware, vases and trays, as well soft goods, including pillows and throws, a new category for CBK.
Midwest Seasons - Tradition Reimagined
The Midwest Seasons brand will offer holiday and seasonal decorations. The January launch
features more than 2,000 designs for home decorating, entertaining and gift giving. The line includes a comprehensive collection of year-round holiday ornaments and decorations, many by designer Jessica Swift.
The new collections from CBK and Midwest Seasons will debut during the winter 2014 markets in showrooms across the country including Americasmart Atlanta (Building 1, Suite 16-A-7), Dallas World Trade Center (Suites 407 and 409) and Las Vegas World Market Center (C-999).
The Midwest-CBK brand was created in 2009 when the two former sister companies merged.
