Target expanding skus on eBay for holiday

Minneapolis - Among the many merchandising tests Target is undertaking in pursuit of omnichannel retailing, it will bump up his presence on eBay from 150 skus to 100,000 for holiday.
"Now this represents a new revenue stream for Target and it introduces a new guest base, which is predominantly men, to our brand," said Casey Carl, president of multichannel and senior vp of enterprise strategy, who was speaking at the company's annual financial community meeting last week. "In the coming year, we will continue to explore expanding our presence and brands through other marketplaces."
Carl cited a recent study from Deloitte that found 83% of shoppers use mobile devices while in store, and said Target's consumers' mobile usage tends to run 7 to 8 percentage points high than the average.
As the retailer works to streamline fulfillment, Carl said, in-store pickup of online orders will roll out across the chain for the holiday season.
In 2014, "digital will be a part of everything that we do."
