High Point, N.C. - Williamsburg and licensee PK Lifestyles debuted a new global chic collection during during the Showtime fabric fair, which began June 2 and continues through Wednesday.
"Entry to the Grand Bazaar" is inspired by the rich colors and intricate details found in Turkish design documents and antiques in the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation archives.
"These textiles have a vintage, well-traveled feeling yet burst with colors and textures one may find today at the Grand Bazaar in Turkey," said Pamela Maffei, vp of design for PK Lifestyles. "Taken from classically rich 18th-century documents, these designs encompass the needlework, textiles, ceramics, flora and fauna that once made Williamsburg the cultural capital of the new world."
The collection's palette includes warm pistachios and camels, as well as turquoises, cobalts and reds found in Turkish ceramics. The shades also integrate with the new Williamsburg Color Collection of paints from Benjamin Moore.
The collection will be available late summer/early fall and will retail for $44-$112.
