Safavieh to introduce Isaac Mizrahi New York line

Port Washington, N.Y. - Safavieh will introduce a furniture, rug, decorative accessories and lighting line with the Isaac Mizrahi New York brand, to debut in stores next year.
The new licensing agreement allows Safavieh to manufacture and distribute the fashion designer's New York brand, which is owned by Xcel Brands. Xcel acquired Mizrahi's New York brand in 2011.
The Safavieh collection is set to launch at the Las Vegas Market in January 2013, officials at the company said.
"Safavieh is thrilled to collaborate with Xcel Brands and Isaac Mizrahi," Safavieh president Arash Yaraghi said in a press release. "Isaac has cleverly taken the best of his bold, contemporary fashion and color philosophy and translated it into timeless, cosmopolitan looks that people will want to continue into their homes."
Mizrahi was recently one of the judges on Lifetime Television's "Project Runway All Stars," which featured contestants who previously appeared on the show but did not win the grand prize.
Mizrahi has released mass market product lines with Target and QVC, among others, and has been a guest on countless television shows.
