Swimwear Brand Gottex Diving into Home Category

Gottex hopes to license its catalog of vivid beachwear prints to home furnishings producers for a variety of categories.
"I think, design-wise, this company has a great brand. And women know [the brand]," said Kerry Glasser, the New York based licensing consultant collaborating on the home licensing initiative.
Gottex's vivid prints have already been licensed for handbags and luggage, he noted.
"The extension of the Gottex brand, incorporating its extensive design capably and archival design resources into home products, is a natural evolution of this fashion forward and highly regarded swimwear company," said Glasser.
The swimwear is distributed in more than 3,000 department store doors, including Macy's, Dillard's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, Belk, Bon-Ton, Carson Pierre Scott, Lord & Taylor, Bergdorf Goodman and Von Maur. Distribution also includes specialty apparel stores and off-pricers.
