Adairsville, Ga. - Chandra Rugs has acquired and restored an 85,000-square-foot warehousing facility immediately next to its existing location here at 1067 Union Grove Rd. SE.
"Business is booming, and we like to be organized to handle it," said Ravi Tiwari, vice president, Chandra. "Our business has outgrown its existing space."
At 95,000 square feet, Chandra's existing location is slightly larger than the company's new acquisition.
Chandra planned to acquire the new facility since moving into its existing location when the company was founded five years ago, Tiwari said. When the new facility became available mid-summer of this year, the company seized the opportunity to obtain a second warehouse.
Tiwari said that Chandra continually looks to identify and develop more efficient warehousing practices to decrease product turnaround time through better organization and expanded capabilities.
"We've learned so many lessons from our old building, which we've carried into renovating the new space," Tiwari said. "We're so much more organized now."
