Fashion Infuses Lacoste Looks

Lacoste puts new fashion muscle into its growing towel business with Mirage, a group of four ombre colored towels, six new bath colors and a new range of beach styles in solids and patterns.
As always, color is the key to Lacoste bedding introductions and this season the company is featuring chartreuse, chili pepper red, lime and deep lilac as fashion forward colors in its palette.
In the Casual collection, color blocking, tile effects, and a range of stripe interpretations offer a variety of fashion statements. Corduroy, pique and knits are important textural players across the board. Cotton twill plays a significant role in sheets.
In the stripe family, Regate uses blue and white to intersect patches of stripes across the bed, while Spinnaker mixes chili pepper red, purple and white in a color blocking effect, Catamaran takes an ombre approach in lime, heather blue and deep lilac. In the premium luxury Club collection, both Admiral and Goelette embrace the striping mantra. Goelette features sky blue, light gray and white in uniform vertical striping on the top of bed.
In towels, Mirage highlights ombres in blue, green, orange and shadow gray at $19.99 for the bath. New print velours are $19.99 and $29.99, while jacquards are $39.99.
New beach towels include a contemporary twist on the Lacoste name and croc logo as well as stripes, two new solids and several novelties.
The towel collection, said Jerry Haggerty, national sales manager for the division, a part of Sunham, is one that is increasingly a year-round business with resort areas and coastal areas key targets.
